Chakra Balancing

What I dream of is an art of balance.

Unique to The Wholesome Lotus, the Chakra Balancing Protocol is a merge between Michelle's studies of Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Ayurveda and TCM are closely related and are thought to have crossed paths throughout history.

'Marma' points are the Ayurvedic version of 'Meridian' or 'Acupuncture' points.  Ayurveda and Yoga, both inseparable Indian branches to health and wellbeing, place great importance to our body's energy centers or chakras.  Just like acupuncture points are understood to be smaller energy vortexes that meet the skin, Chakras are larger energy vortex's that can be seen as power centers that each have their own unique purpose for our health and wellbeing.

Michelle has observed that many acupuncture points in the vicinity of the corresponding chakras coincide with the chakra's function.  These findings inspired her to create a chakra protocol that is modified to fit the patient depending on what their diagnosis shows that they need.  While some chakras can be under active, many can also become over active.  The idea, as the yin and yang symbolizes perfectly, is to create a balance so that the instrument (body) can be fine tuned to create its destined harmony.
